I wont be wasting time
going through the basic and first leg of the game as it becomes self explanatory and there aren't many places to go and explore
as usual in a final fantasy game. you follow the first playable character as he battles through a hoard of the enemie swordsmen,
following basch.
Then you witness a disturbing
event which causes a riptide across the region
The next part we are
vaan, a small town thief who has aspirations. following basic errands, you soon find yourself roaming around the sewers, retrieving
something from the palace and then having to retreat when the palace soon becomes underseige. you have to escape with two
other thieves caught up in the fracas and head back into the sewers.
after a while you find
another stray, one of the rebels who had lost her fellow rebels.
anyway, after meeting
'amelia', this is when it gets interesting and you can end up missing good items if you are not willing to go out of your
way hunting down these much sought after loot.
garamsythe
waterway - southern sluiceway
after meeting amalia,
you head west to the southern sluiceway and come across four flans. this is a boss fight worth stealing from, well at least
one anyway. i managed to steal some caramel. last time i played this part i panicked and didnt have chance to steal, and never
gained anything valuable from this fight. this time i did manage to steal the caramel and this helps when it comes to gaining
half decent or rare items when you sell it as loot.
other items from the
normal monsters that is available to steal or are dropped and the value they were sold as loot when i sold them to burrogh at the lightworks/nalbina's fortress:
With these items, new bazaar
goods were available: 'eye drop set' (3 for 2 offer)
boss fight: flans in garasmythe
waterway/sourthern sluiceway
run down of this fight
in brief terms:
- easy
- four in total
- to make it easy, have vaan or another
higher level magic user use fire
- i didnt have much healing to do
- stole caramel and some potions were
dropped
- status attacks: flans will blind
you
TIP: sometimes during
a boss fight, have the lead character's gambit off so you can run and hide in a corner somewhere to heal yourself and the
team when you find yourself surrounded. its hard to pull yourself away when your character is targeting the enemy.
after the boss fight, continue west
then North through the maze of passageways.
note: some areas are unaccessible
till later. to get to these parts require you to fulfil certain hunts and gain key items. don' t worry about those areas yet,
and you can find out later in my hunts section, (not yet finished)
carry on your merry way till you get
to the central waterway control and find yourself a save crystal.
boss fight
easy, not much to say about this.
once defeated it goes off in a sulk
we find ourselves arrested, leaving
some very miffed bounty hunters.
