the cockatrice:
once you have the feather
of the flock in your possesion, there is a little sidequest, or mini sidequests that involve these birds. one coctatrice wandered
into the jahara village. by opening up negotiations between the two tribes, you get some nice items. Another two cockatrices
are wandering around archadia. the female is in old archadia, and another, the male is having a tour around the posher parts
of archadia (the part of archadia that requires you have sandalwood in your possesion to gain entrance)
archadia extra
once you get your sandalwood,
you can enter the other parts of archadia. you bump into another stray coctatrice, and with your feather of the flock gadget,
you can talk with the animals. this one give you a tumulus if you spoke with another cockatrice back in the old archadia.
it seems you suddenly became a matchmaker for these two love birds without realising it.
there is also a long
queue to use the tram ride to get to the labs, so there must be a trick to get through the queue. remember, knowledge is power.

door:
Barheim
passage plus: well, when you first leave this place, there are a couple of workers waiting outside, cause their boss
got trapped inside the passage. there was another entrance, but the boss has the key.
for now continue with
the story, and the hunts. the cactus hunt will set you off on another sidequest for dantro and dantro's wife. she is in the
outpost by the ferry, which currently is not working. this cactus hunt once accomplished will actually set a catalyst of vairous
little sidequests that involve a sick invalid that dantro's wife is tending to, plus the menfolk were being kidnapped by an
irate cactus and also a pair of cockatrices.
well, dantro's wife needs
you to go on a few errands as she cant leave her sick patient. she needs first the flower from the cactus you just hunted
down, then some seclam shells, then an item from dantro her husband who was still way back in his outpost, then she want a
valeblossom dew, which we couldnt find anywhere in this area, and there is no chance of finding it for now til later on in
the game when you start making your journey for archadia (yes, you get to go to the great city of the empire).
during this long trek,
you will pass through mosphoron highways, and to the west, there is an exit to more of damasca estersands.
you will find valeblossom
dew somehere is the Broken sands. further south is another outpost where you find it is deserted.
you head back to the
other outpost, but dantro's wife is otherwise occupied as one of the locals see his father's ferry turn up. you speak with
the lad and he takes you back to his father's outpost. you have to speak with some cactus who have held the men hostage looking
for his/her offspring. (the same cactust that you hunted down and slain).
anyway, head back on
the ferry to speak with dantro's wife, and she show you where she tossed the flower. You will find it at the back of the tent.
examine it and woah behold another cactus appears. you take it back to its parent, hoping the parent wont notice the difference.
well, the ferry is back
on running and now you can speak with dantro's wife about the other business of her patient.
you have to come back
later to find out that is the boss of the workers, with the key. but he wont go inside the barheim passage now because
of the monsters that lurk within.
